Our home is very important – it’s where we started and grew, and it continues to shape us. A staple in the bars and hotspots around Galway, we’ve become synonymous with our city; from pints by the fire to socialising outdoors, we’ve helped make get-togethers great since we were founded.

How we were brewed to life
Our brewery is named after the famous West of Ireland boats that once commanded the waves of Galway Bay to deliver important goods to locals, catch fresh fish from the sea, and travel from port to port.
Today, we’re summoning that spirit by once again crossing the waves and channelling our inner intrepid adventurer to deliver beer from one of Ireland’s oldest independent breweries to the UK. Our brewery was originally founded by two cousins who love great beer, and Galway Hooker have never forgotten those beginnings, continually brewing beer for people just like you.
Our beer travels well
We introduced our first beer many years ago – the Original Irish Pale Ale – that paved the way for us to become market leaders. Since then, we’ve won accolades at the Irish Food Awards, we’ve scooped gongs at the World Beer Awards, and we’ve expanded from a small turnkey brewery to a high-production operation with a dedicated team.
Over the years, we’ve added to our offering with lots of unique beers that each have their own distinctive flavours, undertones, mouthfeel, and overall experience. It’s been a great adventure ever since our very first batch. Today, you can enjoy our offerings in the UK, where we know you love beer – and we’ve no doubt our beer will travel well, just like the Galway Hooker boats once did.
Try our core range
At Galway Hooker, we have a fantastic core range of beers that includes our Original Irish Pale Ale, of course, but a number of other beers, too: the Sixty Knots IPA and our Honey Beer.
The Original Irish Pale Ale is a popular choice to kickstart your Galway Hooker journey, and the other offerings each have their own individual appeal which are fantastic complements to savour as you please.
Our seasonal offerings
Our core range and our original recipes are so important to us at Galway Hooker, but we also believe that it’s important to keep innovating; we know that this is how the best breweries consistently create exceptional results.
That’s why we regularly dream up new, seasonal beers that allow our brewers to get creative in different ways. Fruity beers, creamy stouts, and hazy IPAs are just some of the creations that have appeared in the past – so, if you’re lucky enough to get your hands on one of these limited-edition beers in the future, savour every sip!
Where you’ll find us
Suppliers can purchase Galway Hooker beers through Sellar where many of our brews can be purchased as kegs or batches of cans.
We are constantly updating our stock so that our clients can find exactly what they are looking for when they need it most. Our desire to please means that we are proud to offer our diverse collection to bars and restaurants around the UK – and we know that our beers are sure to be appreciated by customers who are looking for a new brew to savour.
